Alexander von Eikh was born in Moscow, Russia. He went to high school in Paris and Rome. The Italian idea that aesthetics is a part of everyday life and the recognition of design as a form of enlightenment had a profound influence. His relationship with fine art was not separate from design and architecture but one in all. He attended Cooper Union and Parsons School of Design. He has been published multiple times in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Gallerie, Robb Report, Veranda, House & Garden and various international magazines.
